Below are the answers to a few of our most Frequently Asked Questions. If you do not see the answers to your questions below, please feel free to contact a member of our office staff by clicking HERE.
- Q: Do you offer free trial classes?
- A: Yes! To schedule your free trial class, please contact a member of our office staff either by phone, email, or by clicking HERE. Let us know your dancers name, age, and which class you would like to attend, and we will get you all set up. If you need help picking a class, or would like to know more information about our classes, and the styles we offer, we can help you with that as well.
- Q: What ages do you offer dance lessons for?
- A: Here at Roseville Academy of Dance we offer classes for all levels, ages 18 months through adult.
- Q: Do you have any coupons or offers for new students?
- A: Yes, currently we do have a Groupon coupon offering four weeks of dance, and your annual registration fee for only $24.00. Occasionally we do share additional offers on our social media accounts, as well as in our local papers, and at all community events attended by the studio. **Please make note that Groupon coupons cannot be combined with any additional offers.
- Q: Do you have an annual recital?
- A: Yes, every June. Although recital is not mandatory, most Roseville Academy of Dance families do participate in this annual event. Dancers wishing to participate in our annual recital must purchase a recital costume.
- Q: Besides the June recital, do you offer any additional performance opportunities?
- A: Absolutely! Every December we offer what we call “Winter Showcase Week” in which family and friends are allowed to come into the classroom to observe class, and a special performance. Winter Showcase Week is free to attend, and a great way to check in on your dancers progress half way through the season. In addition to Winter Showcase Week, the studio participates in both the 4th of July parade, and the Holiday parade in Downtown Roseville every year. Lastly, for dancers looking for even more performance opportunities, we do offer a Competition Team program for dancers ages 3 and up. Team dancers participate in all performances listed above, as well as one additional community event, one convention, and 3-4 competitions/year.
- Q: What should my dancer wear to class?
- A: Click HERE to view our dress code policies. If you are new to dance, and do not yet have the appropriate dance shoes, we do offer loaner shoes in most sizes here at the studio, and/or students may wear socks or go bare foot for all classes except for tap and hip-hop. Tap and Hip-Hop classes are encouraged to wear clean tennis shoes to class.
- Q: Where can I buy dance shoes and dance clothes near by?
- A: For our younger dancers, Target offers a good selection of Ballet andTap shoes. Also for younger dancers, Target, and Walmart both offer a nice selection of leotards, ballet skirts, tights, and leggings for class. For older dancers we highly recommend a local dance store called Capital Costumes in Fair Oaks for all of your dance class needs. In order to prevent our families from purchasing multiple pairs of dance shoes, we highly recommend pink ballet shoes, black tap shoes, and black jazz shoes for all classes, as this is what we require for our June recital.
- Q: What do I do if my dancer is sick, or misses class?
- A: We highly recommend that all Roseville Academy of Dance families notify the office in the event of an absence, and take advantage of our makeup classes. To schedule a makeup class, please contact the studio office or click HERE. We kindly ask that all makeup classes be scheduled and redeemed within 60 days of the absence.
