Roseville Academy of Dance enforces the following dress code policies in order to provide the best technical instruction for your dancer. For safety reasons, and reasons that will better your dancers training, we ask that all RAD families follow our dress code policy according to the class type listed below. If you have any questions/concerns regarding our dress code, please feel free to contact us.
ALL DANCERS SHOULD:
PLEASE REMEMBER:
No street clothes or shoes shall be worn inside the classroom.
INTRO TO DANCE (Ages 2-3) – We love our young dancers to feel like, and look like the little divas and rock stars that they think they are. For this reason, we allow all 2-5 year olds to wear any type of comfortable clothing as long as it is not too baggy, and doesn’t restrict their movement. Ballet shoes, and tap shoes are required for this type of class. Satin ballet shoes are not recommended, as they will slip off. Elastic strings on your dancer’s ballet shoes should be tucked in, or cut after fitting.
CREATIVE COMBO CLASS (Ages 3.5-Pre-K) – For our Creative Combo class, we recommend that dancers wear a leotard, skirt, and tights. We recommend that boys wear a comfortable solid color tee-shirt and shorts. Ballet shoes, and tap shoes are required for this type of class. Satin ballet shoes are not recommended, as they will slip off. Elastic strings on your dancer’s ballet shoes should be tucked in, or cut after fitting.
BALLET – To ensure that your dancer is receiving the best technical training, it is very important that your dancer follow proper dress code for ballet class.
LYRICAL/CONTEMPORARY (Ages 8 and up)
TAP (Ages 5 and up) – Any athletic wear is acceptable for this class as long as it is not too baggy, and does not restrict movement. Oxford style tap shoes are required for all dancers 8 and up.
